Pens collect around me. They are drawn to me. I’m blessed that the feeling is mutual, otherwise it might be annoying. From my grandfather’s desk set, with the long black pen sporting the little white dot, to Big Red Parkers in Junior High, to today’s frightful assortment of Sharpies, G2s, and Montblancs, my fascination with these little inktubes has never waned. And lately, it has waxed large as a pink super moon.
If you can’t beat them, join them. Therefore I will happily mix my interest in photojournalism with my passion for pens, and get meta by writing about writing instruments. I’m hoping to skip the fluff as we get down and inky with pens.

By way of introduction, I’m Colin and I share my personal pen collecting habit on Instagram @thecollectorspen, whereas this magazine uses @ink.on.pens on Instagram (feel free to follow both).
So let’s spend some ink writing about pens! Whether the ink is digital or liquid (I intend to use plenty of both), let’s talk about size and look and feel and design and performance and price, and even the ratio of each to the other. Reviews, opinions, tests, and plenty of photographs.
